From the report: 'Results from a three year follow-up of the FUTURE I and FUTURE II clinical trials of Gardasil®, a vaccine that protects against the two types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that are responsible for 70 percent of all cases of cervical cancer, have been published in the May 10, 2007, New England Journal of Medicine. Earlier data from the FUTURE II trial led to the FDA approval of Gardasil in June of 2006.
In the FUTURE I study, women who had not previously been exposed to HPV 16 or 18, the efficacy of the vaccine was 100% in "preventing vaginal, vulvar, perineal, and perianal intraepithelial lesions or warts associated with the vaccine-type HPV."
In women who had previously been exposed to HPV 16 or 18, the vaccine efficacy was 73% against all grades of external anogenital or vaginal lesions and 55% against all grades of cervical lesions related to those HPV types.' (May, 2007)

From the website: 'Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are many kinds of HPV. Not all of them cause genital warts. HPV is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The most common way to get HPV is by having oral, vaginal or anal sex with someone who has HPV.'

the least!).

Analyse
any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere
of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which
life owes its perpetuation. ... The primitive stages can always be re-established;
the primitive mind is, in the fullest meaning of the word, imperishable.
... Mans most disagreeable habits and idiosyncrasies, his deceit, his cowardice,
his lack of reverence, are engendered by his incomplete adjustment to a
complicated civilisation. It is the result of the conflict between our
instincts and our culture. (Sigmund Freud)
