'Meatal stenosis is the most common serious complication of penile circumcision. The stenosis may result from injury to the frenular artery with an incidence of 2% to 11%. Because of this high incidence, the risk of developing meatal stenosis needs to be included in any discussion of the risks of penile circumcision.'

A very interesting essay from the journal of Evolutionary Psychology on sperm competition and its role in shaping the human penis, (size, length, width, forceful ejaculation), evolutionary strategies for successful fertilization i.e. semen displacement and coagulation. On sexual intercourse and evolutionary benefits of deep penis thrusting, function of the foreskin and effects of circumcision, premature ejaculation, female reproductive strategies i.e. copulation with multiple partners, human sexual behaviour and wife rape (males having sex with their partner if suspecting them of infidelity).
... What effect, if any, does the practice of surgically removing the foreskin have on the semen displacement properties of the human penis? As a consequence of removing the foreskin the circumference of the shaft posterior to the glans may be slightly reduced, causing the coronal ridge to be more pronounced and creating a larger area for semen to collect where it could be scooped back away from the cervix.
Laumann, Masi, and Zuckerman (1997) found that circumcised men masturbate more often and engage in more elaborate sexual behaviors. ... In a study of 139 women who had experienced intercourse with a number of both circumcised and uncircumcised partners, O’Hara and O’Hara (1999) found most (73%) reported that circumcised men thrust deeper and withdraw farther and thereby displace more vaginal fluids (perhaps due to reduced penile sensitivity). O’Hara and O’Hara conclude that the loss of vaginal lubrication and discomfort is 'because of the tight penile skin, the corona of the glans, which is configured like a one way valve, pulls the vaginal secretions out of the vagina when the shaft is withdrawn'. Therefore, although practiced primarily for religious and/or hygienic reasons, an unintended consequence of circumcision may be to enhance the semen displacement properties of the human penis.'
